Oh man thats no good..there already rusting??? that sucks! that have a lifetime warranty dont they??? so are there any shocks out there that wont get all nasty and rust into oblivion??

someone told me that the edelbrock shocks will never rust but i don't believe it. almost all brands of shocks are made in the same factory with the same junk just different paint and stickers.

 

Yah, I have had many different brand of shocks and they all rust to hell. I would recommend Bilsteins though they are nice, Rancho if your liftin' it, and Toxic if your lowering it. Good thing most aftermarket shocks come with a lifetime warranty, we will all need it!

 

You only need simple hand tools (proper sized wrenches and a torque wrench), a jack and jackstand. With the money you'd waste on having a mechanic do it, you could buy a nice set of tools. Don't skimp out on the torque wrench.
