Cool leveling kit questions

i'm a little low on money but i want to do something to my truck. so i was thinking about putting a leveling kit and some 33x13.50r20 irok radials on it and eventually when i need new tires and hopefully have more money will put a 6inch lift with some 35x14.50r20 irok radials. however i was just wondering if the 33 will fit with a leveling kit and them being 13.50 wide?

If you have a 4x4, they will fit.

I'm looking at getting a 2" leveling kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

Does anyone know exactly how to install these. I need instructions before I buy. I have a lot of mechanical know how. So I can fumble my way through this. But I want to know if it's worth doing myself or getting someone else to do it.

Basically, it just bolts on top of the coilover shock. Check the 04-06 forum. I think someone has done a write up on it.

Wandell, you seem to know the answers to these kinds of questions. Could you stack the coil spacer(Auto spring, Pro-Comp...) with the Skyjacker 3" lift up front(2wd)?

Sorry for the hyjack!

No, I wouldn't try that. It would put the CV joints (on 4x4's) and steering components at too severe of an angle.

i've had both types of leveling kits...

autospring now in my '06 scab, daystar in '04scab fx4. removing and reinstalling the shock/strut is the easy part if you have the right tools. they both keep the stock ride which is very comfortable. people do say that upgrading the shocks is a worthwhile investment. the ***** make the truck look great and level. i really find the truck more comfortable to drive because the seating position is better. but the autospring blocks are a much easier install. just for the reason you don't have to compress the springs. they are tough. if you don't have access to a spring compresser don't even try to do it. i did my daystars at a friend's shop so i had access to a spring compresser. i went with autosprings this time because i found them on another site search, then through here found them for a great $110. powdercoated and shipped, as opposed to $245 shipped not powdercoated. had a tire shop i deal with regularly do an alignment while i watched.tech said it was way out even though it looked and drove fine. this is my experience and i hope it helps someone else out.

No. Some companies just specialize in urethane products and some steel and others aluminum.

Where did you find the kit for $110.00?

Thanks - RJ

I am also wondering which is a better material to use urethane, aluminum, or steel. I've heard that urethane give a smoother ride?

Steel does too. It just bolts to the top of the coilover and you keep factory ride characteristics.
