Drop Shackles

Im thinkin about getting some drop shackles for my '99 4x2 to make it sit more level. My only concern is bottoming out at times. I haul stuff from time to time. Will these shackles limit my abilities by a lot? Will I still be able to put a 4 wheeler in the back without slamming the axle against the bump stops constantly? I know the shackles are only 2" of a drop, but I just wanna make sure before I make the investment. Thanks.

They won't change how much the suspension compresses, so, measure the distance to the bumpstops, load her up, and measure again. If the distance is less than 3" you will probably have issues when you hit a bump.

Sounds like a plan, thanks.

Also, can anyone recommend some good quality ones? I was looking at some on ebay that seemed good but the bushings weren't greasable. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I'd recommend the Ground Force shackles -- they're one of the only manufacturers who include pinion shims with the kit. Search the forums and you'll find plenty of guys who had vibration problems after installing drop shackles without the shims......
