How many leaves in the leaf springs are factory installed on rear of 1998 f150 4x4?

not sure if it matters on engine size and 4x4 or not

but my 03 reg cab 4.2l came with 3 leafs on each side

my dads 97 ext cab 5.4l came with 5 leafs on each side.

i now have 03 svt leafs on my 03 reg cab and they are 5 leaf set up

 

Mine has 3 leaves per side.

 

mine also has 3 leafs but on the other hand a 97 f150 down the street has for and it has the same 4x4 off road as mine only difference is mine has the 5.4 and his has the 4.6 thou i doubt the engine size has anything to do with it.

 

My 2000 4x2 has three on each side.

 

my 97 4x4 ext cab 8 foot box 4.6 5 speed has 3 on each

 

It depends on the rate of the spring on how many leaves it has. the code on the decal on the door frame will tell you what the truck had on it new
