I've just received and proceeded to install a McGaughy's 2-4" lowering kit on my '04 s-crew. If anyone else on here has done one of these, I need your help. To get the rear leaf spring forward bolts out, the muffler and gas tank have to move. The instructions are vague(or maybe I'm just dumb), but I don't know if the shock extenders go on the upper or lower shock mount. Also, the factory springs are 3-leaf with a 4th-thick-straight leaf on the bottom. McGaughy's springs are just the 3-leaf. Do I add the factory 4th leaf, which is about 2ft. long and looks like a helper spring? By starting this project on a Saturday, the vendor is closed for the weekend and I have no tech support. Now, my truck is jacked-up in the driveway with one spring out, so I'm dead-in-the-water, so to speak. HEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!!
