Can't use OEM rims w/ Lift??

I had a local shop say that they reccommend the Fabtech 6" lift for my truck instead of the RCD 5" because I would not be able to use my factory rims on the RCD lift. Is this true?? I have studs mounted on my oem rims that I like to run in the winter. Any info on this would be helpful.
Truck is 01 supercrew 4x4

I'm not sure. I'd e-mail RCD and ask.

I have the 6" RCD kit and was able to keep my OEM rims. They told me as long as there was at least 4.5" of back spacing I would be fine. Mine is the 4x2 kit though, not sure if it makes a difference or not.
