will people notice?`

I have a 2001 screw 4x2 and will be adding a 3.5 inch spindle soon. Do you think that with this lift people who dont really know much about trucks will be able to tell? I am mostly doing this for the looks and i dont want to spend all this money and it not be much at all. I would go with a bigger lift but i just baught my 32 inch bfg all terrains and those will not look good with a six inch. Well i just thaught i would ask to see if this lift is even worth it.

Thanks alot

-chris

I say drop it an inch or two, slap some 20" torque thrusts and performance tires on it, and get it tuned with an intake and exhaust.

Save yourself the extra gas money you would need otherwise after lifting it. As well as you'd get a nice boost in power which=more fun.

Who cares what other people think anyway?

As soon as a posted this i knew people would post that i shouldnt care what people think. I remember posting this saying its for looks. So why would i want to put something on my truck that people wont even really be able to notice. Also im not really into lowering trucks more into lifting, thanks for the advice tho.

it would look awesome

most people who dont know anything about truck probly wouldnt notice. but if it were me i would be trying to impress people who know something about it. it will look sick with bfgs on it and if you get some wheels it would really stand out. thats all i would go for myself.

UP IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN DOWN!!!!!

IMO with the right tire/wheel combo, and some good performance upgrades theres nothing wrong with dropping a TWO WHEEL DRIVE truck. Whats the point of lifting it if your only going to ruin your gas mileage. Its obviously not to increase your off road prowess.

BUT, to each his own.

So you can get somewhere. He!!, I could barely get down my roads at stock height. Yes, it did increase my off road 'prowess'. SORRY!. It just ticks me off a little when people think its pointless to lift a 2wd.

Lariatc, my sig shows my 99 with a 3.5 lift and 265/75/16's. Some people might just think its a 4x4, but I think most people would notice it has a little lift to it.

Thanks alot guys im going to go ahead and get the lift! I really am just looking for something to make my truck stand out from the stock 4x2, so i think this will work.

Do you think i should install it myself? its just spindles and a rear block or add-a-leaf so i think i should be fine.

Very easy to install yourself, add a 1.5" spacer to the front to make it look even better IMO.

Yup, quite easy. The first front side might be a bit tricky, but once you figure stuff out (I ran into a few issues my instructions didnt mention) then the rest of it will go easy. I did it with a buddy and just common hand tools, some jack stands, and a floor jack.

I have the instruction booklet that came with my 3.5 RC lift scanned on my computer. If you would like take a look at them I would be glad to send them to you. Even if you didnt get a RC lift-the idea would be pretty much the same. Let me know if you would like to see them.
