Wheel bearing or engine mount.. hum/vibration ??
I posted this question over in Engines by mistake, didn't see this forum!
In my 93 F150 XL, 191k, I hear a hum sound while I turn the wheel to the left, such as on a winding road, at speeds above 30 mph.
The sharper the turn to the left, the louder the hum becomes!
Logic tells me that it's likely a rear wheel bearing, but I thought it might also be possible that it could be the passengers side of engine, engine mount, as I do feel vibration while driving under my feet that I believe is associated with the hum.
Has anyone had this experience and found the cause?
I haven't ruled out front wheel bearings, but the sound seem to be from the rear!
