Daystar makes coil spring spacers for your truck. I believe if you go over 2 inches, new upper control arms are needed. I don't think you have to have a spring compressor for installation.

i have the 1.5" from daystar. i did go and rent the spring compressor from autozone but i didnt use it. i jacked up the front end high enough and then put a jackstand under the frame. then rolled the jack under the lower control arm. using the jacke i jacked up on the lower control are until the spring was conpressed. next, unbolted the tie rod, shock, swaybar, and unbolted the upper control arm from the spindle. the lowered the jack EASILY until the spring came out of the pocket on top, slid in the spacer. then do every thing in reverse order. you will need to rent a (fork looking deal) for the tierods and upper ball joints. these are two different size forks. i cant remember what they are called. sorry.

Something I would not suggest because if that coil decides to move just a bit, someone can get seriously hurt.

Take a look at the leveling kit offered by topguncustomz. You can find it on Ebay, just search the 04-06 F150 or go to there Ebay store. They do not require any special tools (Spring compressor). They go between the top of the coilover and the mounting point. All they require is a toe setting once you are finished. and you can't beat the price!

The autospring kit seems to be the most widely used leveling kit.
For 100.00 delivered, it is the most cost effective.
I have the 2-1/2" kit, and I love it.

I have a 2001

and where did you order your AutoSpring from? I've been searching the net, but have not been able to find a company that sells them.

If you go to there web site HERE. you will find a link at the bottom for there ebay auctions. I don't know of a dealer that sells them. The autospring is available in 2" or 2.5". If you go with the 2" the rear will be .75 higher than the front. With the 2.5 the rear is only .25 higher than the front. For a truck that runs empty all the time the 2.5" is good but for hauling or towing go with the 2". The autospring goes above the strut so no special tools are required(spring compressor). I ordered a 2" autospring a few days ago but have not received it yet. If you are still looking for a leveling kit I can let you know how the installation goes.

Edit.. You have a 2001? I didn't think they had coil springs but I am no F150 expert. I have been running a F350 and Excursion for years but am new to this F150 stuff. Mine is a new 05' with coil springs but I didn't think they went to coils until 04' ??

Well that makes a little more sense but I think the autospring is only for the 04-06 trucks no matter if it is 2 or 4 wheel drive.

New Leveling Kit

New leveling kit making its way to the market called the HIROK I seen it on a 2wd f150 the other day it's not like the others and from what I seen it doesn't over extend the upper arms like the others.
