ok first thing. do you have pushbutton or shift on the floor?
I have shift on the floor. all you do is pull the stick back one notch till its in 4h while in drive. then you may or may not have auto locking hubs. if you do then your set. if you dont then you have to get out and turn the hubs on each of the front wheels.
for low range you need to stop put the transmission in neutral and from 4h you push down on the shifter and swiftly pull back into 4l along with locking the hubs.
if you have push button as far as i know you just push the button on your dash. im not sure but i doubt that manual hubs came on trucks with push button. it wouldnt make sense to me, but dont take my word for it.
now to get out is the reverse of everything i just said.
If you have auto hubs you must drive the opposite direction you were going while in 4 wheel drive. if you were going forward then drive back once in 2 wheel for about 10-15 feet-vise-versa.
hope this helps.

I have to manually lock the hubs and the shift is on the floor. Do I first lock the hubs and then put in in 4wd? Should the truck be in neutral and must I be at a complete stop when shifting into 4 high? Thanks for the help
On my other trucks with locking hubs, i would lock the hubs first. That is what the instructions for the truck stated.
I am not sure if your truck supports shift on the fly 4x4. I would suggest coming to a complete stop and placing the truck in neutral then puling the lever into either 4L or 4H. This is just my suggestion.
When shifting into 4L (4 low) then you MUST come to a complete stop and shift into neutral BEFORE selecting 4L. This is true on my newer 02 too!
Remember to Unlock the hubs when you are finished 4-wheeling. and I would suggest getting into the habit of periodically looking at the locking hubs. There have been a few jokers that will engage one of the hubs in order to ***** with people. this of course will cause un-necessary wear to one side of the diffential.
Good luck and enjoy!

Mine is a 94. Exact same as your 95. Shift on the floor manual hubs.
Shifts from 2h to 4h may be taken at any speed as long as the hubs are locked. Stop and put into nuetral only for usind 4 wheel drive low.
