Procomp stage 1 anygood?

I really want to lift my new truck.. 2004 Screw Lariat 4x4.
However I really enjoy the smooth ride. I would rather have a bad *** looking truck oppsed to a nice riding one though..I mean if it was the other way around I would have bought a car, right??

Anyway my question is this:
How nice is the procomp stage 1 lift on the new f-150's?
What about the Fabtech 6"?

I've heard Procomp called Prostiff so many times it's making me question whether or not I should go with them. Procomp has a reputation for having an awesome ride at first and stiffining up after a few thousand miles.

I've also heard that the stage 2 procomp with new coilovers is actually rougher on the street than the stage 1, is this true?

Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a lifted F-150 so I can't really try it out.

The Pro Comp is a good lift, but I hear the Fabtech is better. The stage one Pro Comp lift uses your OEM coilovers with a special 6 inch spacer, so it should ride close to stock.

pro comp has alot better shocks than fabtech. so if you were to get the fabtech you would want to replace those. the pro comp shocks are pretty good.

People who say it rides rough or stiff are morons (procomp).

It uses the same coilovers with a spacer.. It's EXACLY the same....versus the back shocks being different.

Anyway...buyu the procomp...it's fine..

Me with 11.5" of lift

I perfer the Rancho 4 in lift. I had to consider fitting in my garage at my new house. With the 6 in and 35s it would not fit. I barely fit in now. I was told Rancho over procomp and I didnt want to spend the extra on the stage 2 of procomp.

I love my lift, and wouldn't change it...unless i went with a 14" FTS lift!! ProComp holds together real well, my signature speaks for its self.

Well the rough procomp ride rumor was assuming the springs were replaced.. like possibly a SuperDuty lift... or maybe the stage 2 since it replaces the springs.
Well it sounds like it's pretty split up.. Those people with Procomp say to get procomp and those who got fabtech say to get fabtech. I guess i'll just go with my original plan and get the stage 1. Plus it's the cheapest.. I can spend the extra money for new shocks if i want.
Thanks guys.
