'04 F150 4x2 to lifted 4x4 height ???

Looking at a 04-06 4x4 height, the front as well as the back is taller that the 4x2. I own a 04 4x2 Lariat and I would like to lift it to the height of a 4x4 WITH a front leveling kit installed. I know lifting the rear of the 4x2 is simple. Is the front spring on the 4x4 taller than on the 4x2??? I just bought a front end lift kit for my 4x2 and it also comes with a 1 1/2" rear shackle to lift the rear. My question is...do I also need to replace the front springs to taller ones??

Thanks.

I know for a fact that the 4X4 coilovers in the front are taller than the 4X2, I just don't recall how many inches, if i can remember, i think it was about 3/4", but dont quote me on that....

Coilover info requested

Does this require me to replace the springs alone or the entire assembly?? Inclluding the shock, etc?? Is it a worthwhile excercise??

Best way to raise 4x2 f150....

After researching all the methods of raising your f150 (04-06), I have arrived at the following: If all you are looking to do is raise the front, then replace the front coilover from the 4x2 to the units used for the 4x4. If you want to raise it even further, you can then install one of the 2-2.5" leveling kit with the rear blocks used on the 4x4. Is this correct??

Thanks.
