Auto spring leveler done!!

Just finished the 2 1/2" auto spring front end leveling kit install. Truck looks GREAT, rides exacley the same and is within 1/2" of being perfectly level front to back. Install really was a breeze! (Make sure you have a good assortment of metric sockets from 15mm up to 30 mm).
Called autospring direct before starting the install to verify that the "local" allignment shop was feeding me full of s..t by telling me (before even seeing the truck) that I would need $189.00 worth of camber caster cam bolts installed to allign the front end. Autospring said and I quote "He is stroking you....find someone else.....we have done 2500 of these kits and never have we had to change the camber/caster." Seemed like a real honest guy on the phone. Great product, easy install, available to awncer queations....what more can you ask for out of a hunderd dollar bill?

The only number that was on the instructions was a fax #. I had to call information and request Auto Spring in Boise Idaho. I would give it to you if I were smart enough to write it down instead of letting the info. people patch me thru. Or look on Ebay, thats where I purchaced my kit....they have listings everyday and you can contact them there via e-mail. Sorry, Gordon

Option to lift kit?

Hey guys! Just got my '05 F-150 Supercrew Lariat 4x2 a few weeks ago and am a rookie to all of this upgrading stuff! I would like to achieve the look (height) of the 4x4 (more for aesthetics rather than offroading) and was wondering...is a leveling kit like this a viable option to a body lift or suspension lift?

Inquisitively yours....

If you did a body lift plus the leveling kit, you would be a little taller than a 4x4.

A leveling kit it is sounding better and better....and I think it would probably give me the look I am going for. How did you determine the size kit you needed? The front end of the 05 F-150 sits quite a bit lower than the rear so I would imagine a 2 1/2" would do the trick. ???

Where is the 12" difference? Higher in front or back? I'mm about to do 2" & by my measurements on my stock '06, I will be 1/2" higher in front when done.

So, did you have to do caster/camber?

Thanks. The front end shop I use said he would probably have to do it all. But, he has never done aligment on this type of lift. 4X4 shop said the whole enchilada too. We'll see.
