Im not sure where you came up with 12" unless you ment 1/2". My REAR is one half inch higher than my FRONT. Measuring from tire tops to inside wheelwells. There is no way your front will be taller than the rear with this kit. If your simply adding 2 1/2" to the measurments you have it is not correct. The spacers are only 1 3/4" thick (for the 2 1/2" kit) on the autospring setup. As with any lift the number associated dosnt nessarily mean that is what you get.

As for the front end......He who trys to sell you more than a simple and inexpensive toe in adjustment is out to screw you. It took me 3 shops but finaly found the right one who looked and said "the camber caster looks good but I will verify" and only did what was nessary. That is straight from the kit mfg. and from my personal expirence. That camber kit they try to sell you runs about $50.00 a side plus some to install it. If they think they can get you for $200 or so instead of the $60 for a reg. allignment then they will. Dont buy it.

So just because AutoSpring says it is a 2.5" lift you are actually only getting 1.75"? I take it there is no need to worry about lifting the front higher than the rear if I went with the 2.5" from Autospring? What shop did you use for your alignment? Surely there is some place here in Houston that would not screw me over. I really would like to find a "shop" to do everything...install and align.

I did mean 1/2". I have mine scheduled for next Monday. He will do alignment check before & after lift. He said he will only do what is needed to align. Standard toe is $44.95 & full alignment is $175 w/kit needed.

This guy could have sold me a kit for my '90 GMC back in '92, but told me I didn't need it. He told me I had a tire bad causing the pull. He was right.

I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. I am gonna let him install the lift also. He only wants $90. I have trouble finding the time & that is a very reasonable price IMHO.

There is no leveling kit for the older F150s. You can crank the torsion bars (which is free), but it stiffens the ride some (some people like it, some people dont), and it requires an alignment afterwards.

It sounds like you have found the right guy. Price is fair. It took me about 2 hrs to install and reassemble. Hope all goes well for you. Be sure and post up some pics upon completion. Gordon

Got my 2 1/2" autospring done today...I LOVE IT!! it looks great! i may be wrong here, but is actually seems to ride BETTER than stock!

so, i finally have my frontier gear grill guard, and now my AS 2 1/2" leveling kit. once i finish paying for this stuff, it'll be some N-Fab nerf steps. i like the way they fit up tighter to the body.

thanks guys, without this discussion board, i'd have never found out about the autospring!

btw, have any of you experienced any type of noise (i.e.: squeaking, creaking, etc.) with the autosprings? i hope not!

Well it's in. The 2" lift installed & aligned for $125.(toe only needed) I am 1/2- 5/8" higher in front now. Can I add 1/2" spacers in rear without any issues? Thinkin' about making them from 1/2" plate. Any help?

I have a question about these lifts. On my F150 4X2 I ordered the 1 1/2" lift from autospring. I measured the front and back height of my truck before installation and found that the back was 3" higher. When I got the leveling kit I measured it to verify that it was 1 1/2" and it was. After I installed the kit, it lifted my front 2 1/2". There is only 1/2" difference from front to back, which is exactly what I wanted. But I read on here where people are getting the same result sometimes with a 2" lift and sometimes with a 2 1/2" lift. Now you say you used the 2 1/2' kit and your front is a little higher. Why is there a difference in the results of these kits?

No two sets of springs are going to be wound and stressed exacley the same, nor are two tires going to measure the exact same od or even close without the exact same air perssure. Too many variables to have identical results. You ultimatley got what you wanted and so did I. Guess thats what really counts.
