Level kit ?

I have a 2004 f150 2wd 4.6 and i want to get a 2.5" level kit and i know i have viewd people saying not to get the daystar because it's plastic and to get the autosprings, but is it really all that bad and can i clear 305 or 35" tires without backspace? And should i get new wheels or run on stock?

Either one is fine. I personally like the way the daystar mounts inside the coilover, I think that would be a stronger design. Most on this site preach the autospring. I have a buddy with the 2.5" tough country, which is the same as the daystar and he hasn't had any problems. If you want to spend a little extra money the 3" skyjacker is an option. I have it and love it. Plus it gets the back up a little bit, so when you hook on a trailer your nose isn't aiming toward the sky. The kits about $570 and its as easy to install as the daystar, besides you have to put the add-a-leafs in the back. (easy) Good luck.

They all do the same thing. The only advantage to the Autospring and similar designs is it is much easier to install. Also, since you have a 4x2, I'd stick with a 33 inch tire.
