What Lift Kit??

I have read all the threads I can find comparing lift kits & I am still debating on which kit I would like to have. I am leaning towards the fabtech 6" lift. I will be buying the kit for an 01 Supercrew 4x4. I would love to hear your opinions on what you would recommend.

Thanks

I believe that will clear 35's sparingly, if not a small body lift would suit you just fine. I am more up to date on the 04+ F150's so I can't really comment on this dated lift. What kind of shocks are included with this kit you're looking at, you may have to go out and buy all new shocks ($$$) or coilovers depending on what you need as the kits don't usually come decked out, I believe CST lifts are the only lifts with nice shocks out of the box.

RCD makes a good lift for this year of truck. 4" I think, and it comes with bilstein shocks. Good price for it too, I'd look into if it were me.

Ive heard nothing but good things from people who have the fabtech 6 inch kit for your 01 4X4. You will clear 35's with day light to spare because you can put 35's on your truck with only a 3 inch body lift. SO take your choice from fabtech, rancho(i thin they make a kit for you), RCD and procomp(ppl may dissagree with this one, but i see nothing wrong) SO its up to you of course. Try to get other shocks than the ones that come with the fabtech kit cuz all of fabtech's shocks suck. Try to find another person with the kit your looking at and ask them away and possible get a ride in their truck. Good luck with your decision!

Most people will agree that the 6 inch Fabtech and 5 inch RCD are the two best lifts for our truck.

i recomend the 6" fabtech lift, i recomend that you get the lift without the shocks(fabtech shocks are very spongy rides to soft) and you just pick the shocks that you like best, the 6" easily clears 35" and i have seen it clear 37" 12.5 with only some cranking on the torsion bars, good luck

I have decided to go with the Fabtech 6" lift....now before I order the lift I have read on numerous threads that the fabtech shocks are crap...I know I can order the lift without the fabtech shocks so what shocks should I order in place of them?? I am not looking to spend much more money but simply find something better than the fabtech shocks.
