Just got my truck back an hour ago. So far it's ok. Can't say I love it because the front looks higher than the rear. And according to the tape measure, it is. there was approx 12 1/2" between the tire and the fender up front, and 11" between the same in the rear. Is this normal? I also measured the bumpers before and after. Before, the front was 27 1/4" and the rear was 29". Now the front is around 35" and the rear at 32 1/2". Don't compare the front to the back because I didn't measure from identical spots on the two bumpers. I did however measure in the same spots before and after. Any comments would be great. I'll get some pics up prob monday. It's dark here, so they wouldn't be any good. thanks guys!

 

That's normal, and it looks stupid. That's why I'm not lifting my truck. Didn't you research the kit before you purchased it?
The good news is that you may be able to fix the problem with an add-a-leaf.

Right, or simply install a taller lift block. Of course, you can always back off the preload on the torsion bars to lower the front a little. Now go get us some pics!

 

Or, find aftermarket springs to replace the rear leafs to lift it up the additional distance.

I used the Skyjacker Softride FR15 leaf spring (5" lifted leaf) instead of the giant block with my lift. It worked nicely.

(I'm not a huge fan of blocks).

Yes I did research this kit quite a bit. and I never read or saw anything about the front being higher than the rear. But thanks for the replys.

 

Personally love that look but I live in San Diego where all trucks look like that. It is a hell of a lot better than having rake

 

why would it be higher in the front than in the back, whats the reason for that, isnt it a straight up lift 6 in front and 6 in back? so anyone knowing their truck is higher in the back already can figure out it would be the same just 6 inches higher.

does something prevent the back from exceeding a certain height without doing some extra work, and how come they dont include this in their kit?

 

It is just the style. They do this to mimic race trucks and apparently most of the audience likes it this way or they wouldn't do it. This in an easy fix.

Not to sure if this true, but someone told me that having the front up a little higher allows for the truck to have a greater chance of landing flat after going off a jump.

Out of curiosity, how much did your susp lift cost and how much did it cost to install? Ive got an expedition and want a susp lift with 35's. Nice rig.

 

Out the door (wheels, tires, lift, install, taxes, etc...) was $3992.00 at 4wheelparts. And that was with a lot of price matching.
