Leveling options?

I was talkting to some guys that own a 4x4 shop and i mentioned that i wanted to level out my 03' supercrew FX4 and one of them said that you could tighten up the tortion bar and it will give you enough to level out the front end. Odes anybody have any input on this or should i jsut go with a body lift and say the hell with it?

I'd do both. Do a search on torsion bars. There are a ton of post on cranking up the torsion bars.

He doesn't need a leveling kit. He has a torsion bar equipped truck which gives him adjustable ride height.

97-03 4x4 F-150's have torsion bar front suspensions. All the new body stlyle 04-06 F-150's have coilover shocks. It's just two different suspension designs.

Yeh, thanks. I heard that running up the torsion bars can cause problems with CV Joint and stuff. Im not sure how valid this is but it makes good sense. I think i might just go with a body lift because i want to add some height to the overall ride. I appreciate the help, and Wandell, if you have any more pictures of ur f150, would you mind emailing them to me so i can check it out. I think im gonna do mine up similar to yours. Thanks

Just go to the Photo Gallaries here and do a search for "Wandell's Screw and Expy". I have pics at stock height, with a body lift, close up's, etc.
