New member questions

Hey guys I tried to ask this question in another thread but thought I might be better off to start my own. I have an '01 King Ranch Supercrew. Anyway yesterday I ordered a kit online that gives you new "cams" to crank you torsion bars and add-a-leafs for the rear. A buddy of mine can get me good deals on wheels/tires so I called him last night and had him order me a set of 33x12.5 pro comps with 16X10 wheels. Now after reading some old threads on this topic I'm starting to get worried. Will using this "leveling kit" be harmful to my truck? What is the safe limit on cranking the torsion bars before it becomes risky? Will 33''s actually fit? I don't want to put a body lift in it if I can keep from it and sure as heck don't want to spend big money on a 4 or 6 inch lift right now. This is a nice truck that I plan on having for a long time so I don't want to do something stupid that is going to ruin it. I know of a lot of people who have their torsion bars cranked and have no problems...but who knows. Any help or advice would be really appreciated!!

Personally, I think the adjustment cams are a rip off. I would just crank up the preload using the stock adjustment cams. Also, the 33's will fit fine. You will just need to trim about an inch of plastic off the lower corner of your front bumper's valance.

yeah

After thinking about it I think you are right about it being a ripoff. However I am getting the add-a-leaf too. Oh well at least it's cheaper than a suspension lift. Someday I want one but right now this will work.
