6" Fabtech Performance crossmember sys.

Has anyone tried this 6" crossmemeber kit yet from Fattech? Supposedly you are still abel to utilize your stock springs? If anyone knows anything on this please let everyone know!

Also, is it a stiff ride of you replace the springs etc. for the 7.5 inc crossmember kit from fabtech? I hear that if you have a V6 it maybe alittle stiff because of the weight of the engine is not as heavy as the V8.

Which one does everyone think is better?

What truck do you want to put a lift on. The 7.5 crossmember lift is for all 2WD 97-04(heritage)f-150's except regular cab V6's. The 6 inch kit is for 4WD 97-04(heritage) F-150s and theres another 6 inch kit for both 2WD and 4WD 04-05-06(new body style) F-150's

You can go with the 7.5 inch fabtech crossmember kit, but it may be on the stiffer side. If you are looking for a better ride, go for the pro comp and RCD 6 inch lifts that have more specific springs available. I now have the pro comp 6 inch lift with my reg cab v6 and its on the stiffer side, but the same springs in your suppercab should smooth out the ride. Also I think im getting about 6.5 inches of lift because my truck is soo light. I suggest you try to find someone with a similar setup or the same setup you want and talk to them and possibly get a ride in their truck. Do your research only one time.

Alsom, the pro comp and RCD lift kits are nearly identical and I think both RCD and Pro Comp used the dropdown crossmembers from rancho and threw in longer coils because the crossmember only drop down 4 inches.

And yes I need to update my signature.
