safe to jack truck using radius arms?

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question....is it OK to jack the truck up under the radius arms?
I had to get my tires balanced and they jacked the front end up by the radius arms, not the actual frame.

The radius arms are made from the same stock as the frame. Therefore jacking up by the radius arms won't harm anything. Personally if I had to jack up using the radius arm I would prefer closer to the front axle rather than closer to the bushing. This would put the weight in the air sprung, like jacking from under the axle.

To hurt it, it would have to bend that radius arm. Lifting the truck on the radius arm ain't gonna bend anything. In some older ford trucks this is the recommended lifting location.

No worries...I've seen new Super Duty's lifted on jacks from the tie rod center link. That I didn't like at all, but it didn't seem to hurt it either....
