ok i have a 4 inch drop on my f150 now with shackles and hangers. Im guessing both are 2 inch for a 4 inch total. Now i just need 1 more inch in back so can i use JLP shackle kit for 3 inches??? will it work if you have aftermarket hangers?

 

JLP's shackles do give about 3" of drop on a Lightning. I don't know if the effect will be identical on a regular F-150.

I would think they should work OK with aftermarket hangers. One point to consider is when they were installed on my Lightning, there was only about 3/8" clearance between the bed and the shackle.

Good news is, they are easy to put in and out so if they don't work it won't be too much work to put it back they way you have it now...
