1997 rear squeak

On exiting my truck there is a squeak coming from the rear .If I grab and push or pull either rear tire you can hear it also.Checked the brakes (only 37000 miles on them) If I did'nt know better I'd say it was either the leafs or there is play in the rear axle, any clues.thanx

Try lubing the spring mounting locations. The shackles as well as the shackle bolts. If it has a rear sway bar lube the mountings on the axle. The sway bar links usually will not make noise. Don't forget to get the shock bushings as well. These are all the bushings that could cause noise...I think.

Good luck.......

EDIT: Oh yeah, sometimes I've seen rust/dirt in between the rear leafs causing some squeeking. Spray the whole leaf too.
