Planned suspension work - comments?
Hey bros,
I think i've finallly done enough work on the inside of my truck and i'm going to turn my attention to the outside. I've done a magnaflow exhaust and now i'm looking into some suspension mods. This is what i've got planned and if anybody sees anything that could be done better some comments would be awesome.
fabtech 6" lift kit - i am going to build some brackets out of c-channel so that my rear airbags still fit properly if need be.
regear to 4.56 or even 4.88. I am leaning towards 4.56 as it seems to be the best compromise, i don't tow too often and i am on the highway quite a bit.
BFG at/ko tires. I've heard 37"s fit alright with some work on the torsion bars, and i'd like to go as big as i can. I have a set of 33"s right now on my 17" ford wheels and i do love the tires. I really like my ford wheels, but i've been led to believe i need to move to a wider wheel to go any bigger on the tires - correct?
4 piston brake calipers on the front wheels. I am not sure about this one. 37" is a big tire, and the truck is fairly heavy especially if my welder is in the back. I am not sure if further upgrades to the rotors would be necessary or not.
The input is much appreciated. I'm trying to decide if i'm planning an ideal truck or just something that is going to be a nightmare for a daily driver (i understand the lift will exclude me from carwashes/parking garages etc). I really want to do this right but not go overboard, or miss something important.
Thanks for any help!

a 2" body lift eh.... Well with that in mind i might stick with a smaller tire and just the suspension lift. A tech i was talking to here told me that body lifts were really finicky and a pain to make look right - like labor is worth 4x what the parts are or something like that.
