I need some help choosing shocks for my truck. I have a '98 F150 reg. cab short
bed 2wd with a 3" front 4" rear drop. Any help will be appreciated.

you need to know what type of mounts you have and the max an minimum lengths. then go to anyone that sells shocks and tell them to look up your options.

Are you close to bottoming out after the drop...go big diameter to lessen the spring oscillation. If you want a softer ride, go small diameter in the shock body. Always buy a nitrogen gas charged. It reduced foaming in the oil. If it foams, you loose all shock value. Non-gas charged are hard to find anymore.

Good luck....
