Need Advice!

I have a 2004 F150 4.6 and i want to put a fabtech 6" lift and throw some bigger tires on it. I have been told it is going to slow me down. Is this true and how much am i going to sacrafice. How big of tires should i go without losing too much power. I would like to put on 35" with 17" rims. Any ideas or suggestions.

How much difference in power you notice will depend on what powertrain, gear ratio and tire size you have now. Since you have a 4.6, you will notice more of a difference than an identical truck with a 5.4. I would think that 33's would be fine. What gear ratio do you have?
