I wont mess anything up, the only thing you might need is shorter U-bolts, other than that you'll be ready to rock.

hmm actually on second thought, while you're under there you might want to check out the shock length to make sure you wont bottom out the shock, I doubt you'd need a smaller bodied shock. But its better to be safe than sorry.

WARNING

If you remove the Spacer you are also removing the Suspension stopper. Look closely at the block and you will see that it will hit the rubber snubber And stop the suspension from traveling any further. Romoving it will allow the suspension to travel that much further and you will bend or brake the shocks or the mounts. You may also casue so severe a drive line angle that you risk drive shaft damage. If the U joint explodes or the shaft twists and drops it may cause a pole valt effect. Not a pretty side at speed...
See picture looking at #5.

if you realy want to get rid of it and lower the rear end and be safe, JMC brought up a good point but you could get a peice of 1/4" steel that is the same length as the bump stop and same width and it would in effect lower your rear and act like a bump stop lowereing the rear 2" would not effect pinion angle enough to be dangerous but check it out anyway, hope you get the idea it would be easier to draw on paper and show you but i hope you get the idea

bigtruck,

I think what you are trying to explain is to unbolt the rubber snubber and put a spacer between the rubber and the frame?? Good idea.
