repack front wheel bearings/lift kit help

hello,

i went to firestone today for NYS inspection, and after it all, they told me that i have loose front bearings, specifically they said
"Repack front wheel bearings w/seals".
Will this service cause any problems with the 3" Suspension lift kit that I have installed already, or will will the lift kit cause any problems for Firestone, and make them not to be able to do the service properly without more expensee and problems?
the truck is 97 F150 2WD if that helps at all.

Thanks for any and all help!
P.S - didnt pass inspection b/c of Superchips tuner, hadent completely erased from the computer yet after i reset it back to stock
o well couple of days and it should be ok! (i hope)

I'm not too sure if repacking the wheel bearings will fix the looseness they mentioned. If the bearings are bad, the bearings are bad. Take it to another site for the inspection. I don't think the lift kit is associated with the wheel bearing failure.

As for the tuner, I don't think that would cause the emissions failure and, if you returned it to stock, there should not have been a "waiting period." What specifically was the emissions failure?

hey thanks for responding cliles55

Yea i guess i'll try bringing the paper and estimate they gave me to another shop to see what they say about the whole deal.
as for the tuner, yea they said that the computer couldn't read
"OBD Monitor readiness status"
catalyst, evaporative system, oxygen sensor, oxygen sensor heater, EGR system. I'm gonna bring it back tomarrow, they said they will do the tests again for free. but yea i thought the tune would just leave after i took it out, guess it takes alot of miles!??

thanks for your help, and post any findings i have!
Thanks again!
