I Have A Question about Lifts

I just bought a 1997 Ford F150 EXT Cab.. Not a 4x4.. is it possible to get a lift on the truck and not worry about any problems occuring to the engine/transmission... What problems would I have and would a lift look good on a truck that is not a 4x4..

4x4 and 4x2 look the same lifted, cant really tell the difference unless you see the 4x4 or fx4 logo. Of course you could tell if you cant see a pumpkin up front.

You shouldnt have any transmission or engine touble with just a lift. You'll get a litte slower because of aerodinamics, but nothing that will affect you that much. Depending on how high you lift it the handleing will be changed. Alot of this depends on how high and what kind of lift you go with.

However if you upgrade to larger tires you will lose more power and put more stess on you truck.

Most people dont know my truck is 2wd because its lifted. I think it looks nice, but my next ride will be a 4wd. It would just be nice to know you have 4 wheel drive if you need it.

Really, you can go as big as your dreams and wallet allow you. You could do anything from 2 inch coil spring spacers to a 7.5 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift. It's all up to you.
