Suspension overhaul

My wife wants our Expedition back to right off the lot ride. Well as close as we can get it. Nothing has been replaced on this suspension. It is a 97 4x4 with 179000 miles. After reading this board, I am considering the following. Replacing all bushings with the energy suspension urethanes. Upper and lower ball joints. Upper would be the Moog ones with zerk fittings. Tie rod ends inner and outer. Shocks unknown brand as of now. The only thing I am a little bit concerned about is removing the torsion bars. Reading about it is not totally clear and I have yet to crawl under the truck to get a good picture of what needs to be done. Anything else I should do? Would any of you discourage me from attempting myself? Not a mechanic but more than capable. I am planning a full weekend and well if it goes on longer I have another truck to drive. I have a Haynes manual for reference. Any suggestions for doing it properly? Oh yeah what would you do. Vehicle is stock, no lift. Not an option right now because of cost and well, I think it is big enough right now.

Well after doing more research I found this. Anyone experience the same or similar thing? I know it is a Honda but it appears to be their product.

You don't need to remove the torsion bars to replace any of the components listed. All are replacable, but will take a little patience and some time.

So I can replace the lower control arm bushings without taking them out. Are you sure of this? The torsion bars connect to the lower control arm. In order to remove it I would think the bars need to come out. Am I missing something?

My bad.
I kind of breezed over the "all" bushings, and basically saw the ball joint, tie rods, etc.
