i have heard about these torsion bar keys that allow you to get more height out of the torsion bar setup. i am semi-interested, but would like some more info from anyone who knows about them.

Thumbs up

JESSE -

YES YES YES!!!! I JUST POSTED A THREAD IN THE WRONG FORUM, OOPS!!! ABOUT THESE. I HAVE ORDERED A SET FOR MY F150 AND AM WAITING FOR THEM TO ARRIVE. I HAVE A GOOD FRIEN WHO JUST DID THE INSTALL AND GOT 2" BOTTOMED OUT WITH NO CRANKING OF THE TORSION NUTS. THIS WILL BRING YOUR RIDE UP TO LEVEL AND AN ALIGNMENT IS OPTIONABLE AT THE LOWEST SETTING. THE POSIBILITIES SEEM TO BE ENDLESS AS HE PLAYED WITH THEM BUT A BLOCK IN THE BACK WILL BE NEC. IF YOU START TO CRANK ON EM.

I POSTED A THREAD IN THE WRONG FORUM ASKING FOR ANYONE OUT THERE TO GIVE THEIR OPINIONS. MINE WILL BE INSTALLED NEXT THURSDAY ALONG WITH A BLOCK IN THE REAR(SIZE UNDITERMINED) AND A 3" BODY LIFT.

THEY RUN ABOUT $59. USD + FRT. CHEAP WAY TO GET UP IN THE AIR!!!!

thanks, i finally found them a few days ago after looking for about a month. i guess we got them from the same place as the price was the same. put some pictures up when you get it done, and let me know if there is anything out of the ordinary necessary for the install.

They sound good... post the link on where to find them with some more detailed info. For $59, I'd be in! Let's see some photos of the finished product.

unfortunately you can't get them for 60 plus shipping anymore because the price went up. i think it is about 80 plus shipping right now, but that is still the cheapest 2-3 inches of suspension lift you will ever find!

i have not used this product personally but i have heard from reliable sourses that usins recast torsion keyways if cranced up all the way will cause alot of stress on your half shafts and cause premiture wear and falure cuased by to extreem an angle, like i said i have not used them but that is what i heard

you are definitely right, but cranking all the way would be stupid because your suspension would have no down travel at all. I can imagine that would be a hell of a rough and noisy ride!

in my opinion crancing them past the stock limits is a bad idea and should not be done, but it is your half shafts, good luck
