pro comp es3000 shocks

does anyone have the procomp es3000 shocks? How are they? Are they any better or as good as the factory fx4 shocks? The reason i ask is that they sent me a set with my aftermarket keys and they are alittle longer and they said it would help on the stiffness of the ride.Any help is appreciated.

I have these on my truck and so far I like them. The ride is a little firmer and I notice that the truck does not hit resonance nearly as bad when I am on the freeway. They did not make my truck ride like a Towncar or carve corners like a Mustang GT, but I think that they are better than the stock shocks.

if they already sent them to you, why not try them out?

If you dont like them you can put the stockers back on.

ES9000 pro comp shocks

I just received a set of ES9000 pro comps and I have to say that the front shock look puny! They are smaller than the stock shocks that are currently on my '03. Anyone else think the same?

I installed the 3000's today. The front one did look pretty wimpy the shock boot covers about the whole thing! They seem to ride well. I noticed the ride was a little smoother on my way to work today. The seem to absorb the bumps a little better than the stock ones.

I ordered a set of the Pro comp 3000s . I took off the pasengers front shock, and they DID look tiny compared to the originals. I wasnt even gonna waste my time installing them, so I took em back and got my $$$ back, btw my original motorcraft gas shock were still good...lol

Size has nothing to do with the shock. It is how they are valved internally. Stock shocks are valved very lightly for on-road comfort, where the pro-comps, ranchos, etc. are valved much stiffer due to their use off-road. Only reason for a larger can is for a larger piston and heavier dampening. Stock applications dont require this. Stock sh****s are actually not that great and the ford licensed rancho shocks are junk. they are just painted white and say rancho, but other than that they are the same as an oem ford

The Pro Comp ES3000's have 10 stage velocity sensing valving that adjusts to the terrain accordingly. They stiffen up on hard bumps, and loosen up on hilly off-road terrain to make the most of the suspension travel. I'd say they are quite a bit better than the stockers. :santa:

When i lifted my truck i opted out of the fabtech shocks that came with it and got the 3000's, the off road shop where i got em said they were a very good shock, getting better ones would be either upgrading to a resevoir or coil over. I have no complaints
