Installing Daystar Coil Spring Spacer

I havnt installed my spacer yet but i had a question about installation.

The instructions tell you to take off the tie rods, ball joints and all that stuff to install the spacer. Couldnt you just take off the shock and then compress the spring with a spring compressor and just slide it in there? Or am I missing something.

I just thought that would be alot easier and quicker.

Also you guys can post any tips at installing this..

By the way just installed Leaf Springs on my truck and they sure do their job!
