lifted 2x4

would it be possible to lift my 93 f150 2x4. if so how hard would it be and what kind of price tag would i be lookin at? i want the looks of a 4x4 without having to buy one.

YEA, YOU CAN DEFINATELY LIFT THAT. GO PICK UP ALMOST ANY 4X4 MAG AND LOOK AT THE ADS FOR LIFT KITS FOR 2X4 (PRERUNNER) SHOULD BE UNDER A GRAND W/SHOCKS ALSO FIND YOURSELF A LOCKER SO YOU HAVE SOME OFFROAD ABILITY...

I too have a 2x4 i want to raise, i also love to play in the mud. You said something about getting lockers. what does that do for the truck? thanks

It locks the 2 back wheels together so they spin at the same speed. Without a locker (open) the wheel that can spin the easiest will(like a wheel in the mud) while the other tire that has traction(say its on pavement) will pretty much sit there and not spin. SO in that case you would be sitting there with a one wheel drive vehicle stuck along a highway. Pretty embaressing.

Sounds like you would need a set of those lockers if you want to go muddin in a 2wd truck. how much do they cost and how hard are they to install?

About 700 bucks. Thats what I usually find them priced at.

damn, 700 is way more than I can afford right now. I was thinking what if I got a 4" Fabtech suspension lift and then got a 2" leveling kit, would that work with the Fabtech to theroretcally (sp) give me a 6" lift?


also, would you recoment me muddin without lockers?
