Suspensions A Rockin

Have a couple questions about some matenance on my truck. It has 120 thousand on it. I get the oil changed at a shop and they told me that the right front wheel bearing is going out, the left front ball joint is going out, and the idler arm is loose. Id like to fix these my self but last time i checked it was 3 degrees outside. Right now my truck seems to run and drive fine. IT does seem to sag alittle on the drivers side front but i dont know if that has to do with the suspension. My question is this, i have access to a shop for 2 days. I have never done any of this kind of stuff before, i am mechanically enclined but i dont want the truck to be stuck there if i cant do it myself. Are these tasks easy or should i jsut save up and pay someone to do it. They want almost 700 bucks for just the ball joints at a local shop. I ahve done wheel bearings before but never on anything this new. I have a chiltons but thats about all the help im gonna get for now. Any advise would be much appreciated.
thanks.

Ben

I paid $690.00 for upper and lower ball joints and an idler arm without an alignment. I'm mechanically inclined, but time constraints and the fear of being without my primary mode of transportation forced me to have a shop do the work.
