Soften my Ride
98 f-150 XLT 4X4 Shorty Off Road Package
The truck rides terrible. Original Goodyears need replacing, but there also seems to be excess rattling/noise.
What type of shocks may help to soften the stiff ride? What else should I be suspecting is a problem??? 60k miles

First of all, welcome to the site. Since the truck is a 4x4, it is never going to ride like a luxury sedan. Check your front suspension. Have the torsion bars been cranked up all the way? Are the shocks worn out? What psi are the tires at? All of these things can make the ride terrible on a truck.
