lift kits and bumpers
Ive been told that the bumpers are fastened to the frame and if a lift kit is put on the truck the body will go up but not the bumpers. And that you would have to fabricate the bumpers yourself to lift them. Is this true.
Also gap guards are to cover the area between the frame and body that you can see by the wheels correct?
Any feed back would be helpful

The Performance Accessory body lift comes with front and rear bumper relocation brackets to raise them. And yes, their Gap Guards make a tremendous difference in appearance. Nothing worse than being able to see through a truck.
Without the gap guards, the job doesn't look finished. It's like putting in a 6" lift and runnin' stock tires. The Performance Accessory kit is the most complete kit I've seen out there. The only thing you may have to fabricate is a bracket for a grill guard/bush bar.
How about installation. I do most of my work on my truck my self. Do you recommend taking it somewhere to be put on or do it yourself? Are the relocation brackets for the bumper simple to insall?
The installation of the body lift is pretty straightforward. It's not hard, just time consuming and tedious. THere are a lot of small steps involved. THe bumper relocation is one of the easier parts of the installation.
body lift
This was the closest to a subject thread as I could find. I am having trouble removing some of the torix bed and cab bolts required for a body lift. I cant seem to remove the torix bolts on the rear seat. how do you remove the back of the rear seat so I can get an impact on the bolt. My chiltons does not say anything about this. Thanks
