Suspension Kits
I've been looking to upgrade my suspension. My f150 2wd 4.6L truck has 134,000 I've looked all around and read a bit and it seems as though Fabtech is the way to go. The 3.5" lift would suite me just fine, in terms of look and price. One thing I've noticed is all the kits I've read about only offer the upper control arm / joint. I don't know..seems to me if I'm going to shell out the bucks for a new suspension, I might as well go all the way and get both upper and lower arms with all the "fixings". But it seems as though any kit with both upper and lower control arms jacks the price up to roughly 1300 - 1500+. Is that just the way it is?
Oh..another thing, the kits with the upper arms/joint and lower arms seem to be missing the lower ball joint. Is that right? Sorry for the..hmmm how should I put it...lack of knowledge (which makes feel kind of dumb) with all this. Hey...got to start someplace.

You are right. What you get depends on which kit you go with. I beleive the Fabtech kit that replaces the upper and lower control arms is the "long travel" kit, which increases your suspension travel. With the other kits, it's not necessary to replace the lower control arm.
