Lowering 2004 F150 4X4

Could lowering the hind end of a 2004 F150 4X4 ve as simple as deleting the hunk of iron on top of the axle at the spring perch area? The 4X2 trucks don't have this and they are at least low enough that a small step ladder can be used to get into the bed.

Welcome to the site! Yes, you can lower the rear of a 4x4 by removing the factory 2 inch lift block.

If you want to lower the front end..........drop by the Lightning forum and ask if anyone has a stock set of front coil springs laying around they want to get rid of.

I know many do
