for the longest time now i have hear people talk about lift kits. one thing that i just never understood was the spindle lift. if it does what it says it does i guess it would lift the spindle huh...lol. but exactly is the spindle and just what does this type of lift do.
thanks
The spindle is the part that your front wheel, and brakes bolt to. A lift spindle is a replacement spindle that mounts your wheel and brake rotors lower, usually 3.5 inches on 97-03 F-150 4x2's. This makes the front of the truck sit higher.
By lifting the front of a 4x2, it pretty much makes the truck sit level. If the rear is lower, you can add a lift block or add-a-leaf to the rear springs to raise it to the height you want.
