Front end clicking 97 4wd

Ok my truck is a 97 single cab short narrow bed 4wd. When I am in 4wd and I turn the wheels something clicks in the front end. My question is this would it be the locking hubs or the u joints in the front axles. Oh it has a 3 inch body lift and 35's.

There are no hubs or ujoints in 97+ F150s. That clicking you're hearing is most likely a bad CV joint. Check the boots for tears and if any are present you'll have to see if there is still grease inside. If there is none then the joint is bad, or will go bad shortly.

Do you know about how much it might cost to get those fixed. I thought it sounded like a front wheel drive car that is in need of cv joints. Or is it easy to do yourself. I am mechanically inclined and have put axles in the TTb style front end.

There are no tears in the CV boot. But the truck has 100k on the clock and I am sure those big tires didnt help any.
