Angry Front end wore out

I have a 2000 F-150 4x2 with 57,000 miles on it and took it in to be aligned after I had to replace the right tie rod end because it snapped while I was driving normaly down the street, and the guy told me all 4 balljoints and left tie rod end were also shot. I know people who got better use out of a Yugo front end than I got on vehicle that was built "Ford Tough"

I don't understand why they can't put quality parts in that can be greased. At the volume they buy what would it raise the cost of each truck $50.00.

They sure know how to keep their customers happy.

I would get a 2nd opinion on the ball joints. Most times the uppers won't go bad since they're not load bearing like the lowers are. I can believe that the lowers are bad, but having both uppers bad I call BS on the shop. Find another shop and have them look at it. Also keep in mind that the ball joints are part of the upper control arm and in order to have them replaced the whole control arm must be replaced.

I needed lower ball joints at 27,000 miles. Still blows my mind! And the so called Rancho shocks suck!

After going to a second shop I was told the uppers were just within the Ford spec range and as long as I had to do the lower ones I might as well do them all now.

I put Moog parts on that have grease fittings and if I ever have to replace the uppers for some odd reason I don't have to replace the swing arm, the joint itself is replaceable.
