Question Coil and Spindle Question

i've decided to go with the 3" spindle lift (because it looks to be the most simple and quick), and i know i can use 2" lift coils and still have the truck alligned without needing new upper control arms. so my question is, can i use the coils and spindles together without new control arms? thanks for any replies/help

Yes you can use lift spindlesa nd 2 inch coils without new upper A-arms. Another product you will need is a camber kit. This is basically 4 bolts, nuts and washers used to algn your truck. They cost anywhere from 40- 60 bucks. Save your money by installing them yourself and just getting it close, then taking it down to the algnment shop.

You can just take it to the alignment shop and they will put the camber kit on for you because you NEED it to realign it, but they will probly charge you around 50 bux for the labor. If you want to pick one up yourself, you can get one at auto zone, kregans, or i think pep boys, or any auto store along those lines. The only reason why lift spindles say you cannot use stock rims is that when you want to put larger tires, they will rub in the inside like your frame or sway bar. The rims will fit on the new spindles but your new bigger tires may rub at full lock turns. The "issue" with stock rims is that the back spacing is too much and lift spindles want you to use rims that have less backspacing to make the wheels stick out further. Any more questions?

That will be no problem to put a lift block back there once you are doing an add-a-leaf since you have springs off the rear axle. Just be aware that with add-a-leaf's your ride will suffer some what because of the added stiffness. Also look into getting some Teflon pads or sheet to place between the add-a-leaf and the old leaves to keep down the noise. You can probly get some at the local auto store but if youve got a rearend place, or 4wheeling shop around ask them. Good Luck. Don't forget to post Pictures of your truck when your done

yeah i'll definitely post some pics....(at least in my gallery, don't know if i'll be able to figure out how to post them here)... thanks for all the help. the nearest allignment shop's probably 15-20 mins from where i'll be putting the lift on, is it ok to drive that far with just putting the lift on and no allignment? thanks, promise that's the last question...well maybe

That 15 miles should be fine. Just make sure to get your camber close as u can get. Also take cation and drive slower to prevent any problems. And trust me, I dont mind answering questions because i know how it feels because i used to be in your shoes.
