Question ball joints

I have a 97 f150 and i'm currently planning out the airbag setup. I've been trying to figure out a way to lower the front suspension before bagging it to help with the negative camber problem so I can cruise a little closer to the ground within alignment. I have thought about using DJM's upper and lower control arms but cannot justify the cost considering the limited amount of negative camber they correct. I have heard of some people flipping the upper control arms and the lower ball joints to simulate the effect of a dropped spindle. Can anyone tell me if this is possible, and what all is involved. Is it just a simple flip, or will I have to have the spindles machined for the new ball joint location(the taper of the balljoint facing the wrong way) Any help would be appreciated.

Yes i have heard of this and only know one thing about doing a ball joint flip is that you MUST run a rim 20 inches or larger or the rim will not clear it.
