stock...to Rancho's or ?????

01 Screw, 4x4. Wife would like it a little smoother. Truck has about 26K on it with 17 inch rims. How much of a difference could I reasonably expect if I go ahead and change out the shocks? I have a feeling since it's a 4x4, not really much, but I don't know. This is my first Ford. I mean, would it be worth it? Not a lot of off roading, but she will be pulling a 20 foot boat from time to time.
thanks.

I'm not sure about the difference you will see from the shocks, but I tow a boat quite a bit as well and I am planning to put a set of Firestone load assist airbags on the back of the 2001 Screw I just bought.

How about a set of Rancho RS9000X's. They are on sale right now, buy three get one free. And, you can adjust them for a softer ride for everyday driving and stiffen them up for towing or 4 wheeling.

I have 15k miles on my 03 Screw and the shocks are already worn. I'll probably order the RS9000x shortly. I had the RS9000 on my last truck and liekd them a lot.
