Angry Back shock squeks

2003 f150 2WD w/ towing package the back driver side shock squeks like crazy. The slightest movement and it sounds like I would be having a wild night in the back seat. It only has 13,000 miles and I have only towed a friends boat a few times.

Is this just the crapy OEM shock at their best or is it already time for some new ones. I wanted to get some get some better shocks anyways and was thinking about the RS 5000 but from the post on here people don't seem to be impressed w/ them.

probably your springs

My truck did the same thing. It wasn't the shocks it was the leaf springs. The telfon disks located on the ends in between the individual leaves either get boogered up or fall out then your truck squeaks like hell. Coat the ends down with ATF fluid and see if it goes away. Hope this helps.
