I read many threads and have a question... I am attempting to install a hellwig bar an my 2003 ford F150 4x4 and the driver side "L" bracket will not sit truly vertical because of a gas tank brace... how can I correct this?

I removed the forward lip of the skid plate mount and rounded the lower edges of the L bracket where the end link mount. It only took a few minutes with a die grinder once the skid plate was dropped.
