Fx4?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2002 F-150, 4x4, SuperCrew with the 5.4. I had a question regarding the FX4 package. I've noticed this truck rides much rougher than my 98 F-150, 4x4, x-cab with the 4.6. My 98 doesn't have the FX4 package. Does anyone know what model Rancho shock comes on the 02 FX4? I also want to go from my 265 stock tires to 285 BFG KO AT'S. I don't think a lift is necessary, but I'd like to see what my options are for a small lift? I would think a 2" would be perfect. Can I do this with shocks or do I need an actual lift? Anyone know of an inexpesive option for lifting my truck 2-3"? It's mainly for looks. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Theres another thread in this forum about your shocks. They are basically just Motorcraft shocks painted like the Ranchos and a Rancho sticker slapped on them.

I put Rancho RS5000s from samsoffroad.com on my '97 supercab 4x4, and I like them alot so far. Good deal for the money (4 for $146)

As for lifts, as far as I know you cant just put different shocks on there for a lift. You'll need to get a suspension lift or body lift installed. For suspension lifts Rancho is probably a good choice, and for body lifts alot of guys here have been getting PA kits (just look for some of the threads here about body lifts).
