Unhappy performance accessories 3" question HELP!!!

Fella's,
Will a 3" performance accessories body lift for a '97 f 150 supercab fit on my '01 supercrew? I don't want to have to Jerri-rig anything, I just as well go buy the right one.

I beleive the Supercrew has more body mounting points than a Supercab, but I'm not sure. If it does, the kit for the Screw will include a couple more lift blocks and bolts. I can tell you that I've installed the PA kit on an 01 Expy and my 01 Screw. The instructions for the Expy kit were printed in 1997 and were nowhere near as good as the instructions in my Screw's kit. The instructions that came with my Screw's kit were more like a book. They had photos of almost every step. These instructions alone are worth buying the right kit for your Screw, especially if you've never installed a body lift before.

Mine took me 2 days to install, basically working by myself. You will have to have a second person to remove and re-install the body mount bolts. The lift is not hard to install, it's just tedious and time consuming. There are a lot of small steps in the lift.

Hey Wandall,
My FX4 supercrew has factory 17's on it. Is it possible to put BF Goodwrench A/T tires on the factory 17's?

THANKS

Yeah, you can keep the factory 17's. There is a guy at FTW who has a 3 inch body lift on his FX4 with 315/70-17 (35x12.50) BFG AT KO's on the factory rims. It looks really good. You could mount those or the 285/70-17 (33x11.50) AT KO's. The 315's can usually be found really cheap. They are the OEM tire on the Hummer H2.

wandell, how did you make out with the shift linkage, the brake lines, and the gas lines, did you have to put extensions in? And what did you do about lifting the bed and cab to get the mounts out and in? I know how body lifts work, i just wouldnt know where to begin to install one. Thanks

The 33's i have came on the truck when i bought it last year, i do have pics, but my scanner doesnt feel like working right now. Im guessing you can get them anywhere, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, anywhere that sells tires im sure. As for price, i think i saw them at Pep Boys for 170 a piece or something close to that.

I didn't have to touch my brake lines or shifter linkage. I did have to put the extension in my gas filler neck. I used a small bottle type jack to lift my bed.

Yes it does.

Although the hose for the gas overflow was the wrong diameter in the PA kit (at least for my truck - it is a 99). I had to pick up some the correct size.
