I have a 97 F150. Its got 96,000 miles. When I bounced out of my driveway this morning I immediately lost steering! At first I thought the bounce broke something underneath but all the tie rods, pittman arms, etc look OK. Manual steering still works so now I think its the power steering pump. Is it that? Could it be anything else? A sensor problem? Is there anyway to test a bad pump?
